Atomic Heart 2 Elevates the RPG Experience
Open World Exploration and Living Ecosystems

Though Atomic Heart 2 is still years from release, Mundfish has started unveiling its vision for the sequel. In a recent Wccftech interview, CEO Robert Bagratuni detailed plans for enriched RPG systems, featuring dynamic environments and engaging side activities.
"Atomic Heart 2 will integrate RPG elements organically—deepening immersion rather than adding artificial complexity," Bagratuni explained.

While the original game impressed with its Soviet sci-fi aesthetics and inventive combat, players noted limitations in open-world interactivity. Mundfish aims to address this criticism head-on.
"We've carefully analyzed player feedback," Bagratuni acknowledged. "Atomic Heart 2 will transform the open world into something truly responsive and alive."

The sequel will feature expansive, interconnected environments encouraging non-linear exploration. Paragliding and other traversal methods showcased at Summer Games Fest 2025 hint at enhanced mobility alongside meaningful replayability beyond the main narrative.
Mundfish emphasizes creating environments that actively shape gameplay—where time cycles and weather systems affect both atmosphere and mechanics. "Every expansion serves immersion," Bagratuni assured, "never compromising the game's distinctive tone."
Meaningful Choices and Player Influence

"World exploration will continuously reward players," Bagratuni teased, suggesting substantial side content while maintaining Mundfish's signature surrealism. "This isn't about generic checklists—every element maintains our handcrafted vision."
The sequel promises greater narrative impact through mission decisions and potential companion interactions, though specifics remain undisclosed. Early indications suggest players may shape events more significantly than before.
Enhanced Combat Progression Systems

Building on the original's acclaimed combat, Atomic Heart 2 will introduce expanded weapon customization, skill trees, and progression paths. Early internal playtesting aims to refine every aspect, from gunplay to enemy AI.
"Players loved our combat's creative freedom," Bagratuni noted. "For the sequel, we're pushing everything further—ensuring each encounter feels more strategic and rewarding."
