A Card Game for Two Players

This app offers an engaging selection of three card games: Four Cards Golf, Six Cards Golf, and Scat. You can choose your preferred game from the Settings menu, tailoring your gaming experience to your liking.

Four Cards Golf Rules

Four Cards Golf is a strategic card game designed for two players, drawing inspiration from the sport of golf where the goal is to accumulate as few points as possible. Each game spans nine rounds, and at the start of each round, players are dealt 4 cards face down, arranged in a square layout. The remaining cards form a draw pile, with one card from this pile placed face up to start the discard pile.

Before gameplay begins, each player may peek at the two cards closest to them, but these cards must remain a secret from their opponent. Players are not allowed to look at their layout cards again unless they are discarding or scoring them.

During their turn, players have the option to draw a card from either the draw pile or the discard pile. If drawing from the draw pile, the card can be used to replace any of the four cards in the layout, but the replaced card must be moved to the discard pile without revealing its face. If drawing from the discard pile, the card must be used to replace a layout card, which is then discarded.

Players can also choose to 'knock' at the end of their turn, signaling the end of the round after the other player has one more turn. Scoring at the end of the round follows these rules:

• Pairs of cards of the same value in a column or row score 0 points.
• Jokers are worth -2 points.
• Kings score 0 points.
• Queens and Jacks are valued at 10 points each.
• All other cards are scored according to their rank.
• Four cards of the same value are worth -6 points.

Six Cards Golf Rules

Six Cards Golf, also designed for two players, similarly aims to minimize point accumulation. Each game consists of nine rounds, with players receiving 6 cards face down at the beginning of each round, and the rest forming a draw pile with one card placed face up in the discard pile.

Initially, players must turn two of their cards face up. Throughout the game, players can reduce their score by swapping these cards for lower-value cards or pairing them with cards of equal rank in columns.

Players take turns drawing a single card from either the draw or discard pile. The drawn card can either be swapped with one of their cards, which remains face up if it was previously face down, or discarded to end the turn. The round concludes when all of a player's cards are face up.

Scoring in Six Cards Golf is as follows:

• Pairs of cards in a column score 0 points.
• Jokers are worth -2 points.
• Kings score 0 points.
• Queens and Jacks are valued at 20 points each.
• All other cards are scored based on their rank.

To swap a card with one from the discard pile, simply tap on the card you wish to exchange. To draw from the deck, tap the draw pile to reveal the card, then either tap the discard pile to discard it or one of your cards to swap.
