Lost Soul Aside Delayed 3 Months for Polish on PS5 and PC

The highly anticipated action game, Lost Soul Aside, initially set to launch on May 30, 2025, has been delayed by three months, with a new release date set for August 29, 2025. Developer Ultizero Games shared the news, explaining the need for additional time to refine and polish the game to meet their high standards of quality.

"We remain committed to delivering a high-quality game experience. To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game. Lost Soul Aside will now release on August 29, 2025. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our fans waiting for the launch."

Originally conceived as a passion project by solo developer Yang Bing, Lost Soul Aside has evolved into a significant title under Sony's China Hero Project. Bing, now the founder and CEO of the Shanghai-based studio Ultizero Games, has seen his vision expand from a solo endeavor to a major release featured in Sony's State of Play broadcast.

In a recent interview with IGN, Yang Bing discussed the lengthy development journey of Lost Soul Aside, which has been fueled by immense community hype. The game has been described as a thrilling blend of Final Fantasy's character design and Devil May Cry's dynamic combat system. This excitement was sparked when Bing's initial reveal video went viral back in 2016.

The game's protagonist, Kesar, is equipped with a versatile, shape-shifting weapon that allows players to switch playstyles. Alongside Kesar is a dragon-like companion named Arena, who can summon abilities to aid in battles. Lost Soul Aside mirrors its inspirations with a focus on aerial dodging, precision timing, intricate combos, and counterattacks, all set against the backdrop of epic boss fights.

The narrative of Lost Soul Aside weaves a sci-fi premise with diverse aesthetics, taking players on a journey through multiple dimensions. While the story's full trajectory remains under wraps, Bing describes Kesar's path as one of "redemption and discovery."
