Learning to read involves focusing on pronouncing the sounds of letters, rather than their names. This approach is crucial for developing early reading skills in children.

The second important factor in a child's learning journey is the adult who guides them. This adult can perform specific exercises that help the child observe and mimic the correct lip positions for sound pronunciation.

To facilitate this, we select a group of less complex letters from the alphabet and use them to form names of animals and common everyday words. In our program, the focus is on the SOUND of the letter, not its name.

Initially, adults should practice with the child, understanding that reading is a process. Once the child gains some proficiency, the adult can gradually allow the child to use the application independently, while returning to joint practice sessions periodically. After some time, adults can move to the “Discover the Word” section and engage in a series of exercises:

1. Ask the child to pronounce the sounds of the letters that make up the word TREE.
2. After practicing for a while, ask the child, "What did you say?"
3. Importantly, never tell the child what word they have spoken.

Continue repeating this exercise, encouraging the child to pronounce the sounds of the letters in the word TREE more quickly. As they do so, the intervals between each letter's pronunciation will shorten. Resist the temptation to tell the child what word they are saying. One day, when asked, "What did you say?" the child will respond, "I said TREE!" That's the moment to celebrate, as the child has begun to read.

Soon, you will notice the child's increased interest in reading every word they encounter. This is the time to introduce more complex letter combinations, such as the letter C, which can have a soft sound (as in "sky") or a hard sound (as in "house") depending on the accompanying letters. Other previously unused letters of the alphabet will also be introduced. It's essential to respect each child's unique pace and learning process.
