Soshiro Hoshina Joins Kaiju No. 8 The Game Right After His Anime Debut

Kaiju No. 8 The Game has introduced Soshiro Hoshina as a playable 5-star character for his debut. His arrival follows closely after Episode 22 of the Kaiju No. 8 anime, which aired on September 20th and featured his story arc.

Soshiro Hoshina serves as the vice-captain of the Defense Force’s Third Division and belongs to the prestigious Hoshina Family. Mirroring his appearance in the anime where he fought alongside Kaiju No. 10, players will see him wielding Identified Kaiju Weapon Number 10 within the game.

With the addition of [United Front] Soshiro Hoshina, you can now summon the 5-star weapon SW-Susanoo. These twin swords complement his unique combat style perfectly.

A new chapter has been added to the game’s narrative under the Story > Characters section, allowing players to follow Hoshina as he grapples with a weapon that possesses its own consciousness. This episode explores the activation experiment of an Identified Kaiju Weapon infused with the essence of Kaiju No. 10. To celebrate the release of [United Front] Soshiro Hoshina, Kaiju No. 8 The Game has launched a login bonus event offering up to 10 free gacha tickets. These rewards include 5 THE GAME Gacha Tickets and 5 Pickup Gacha Tickets.

The game was released earlier this month, having introduced Dimensionally Distorted Destiny Sagan Shinomiya just two weeks prior. With Hoshina’s arrival, the game continues to align its updates with the anime series.
