Stellar Blade’s director and producer, Kim Hyung Tae, has publicly expressed his enthusiastic support for modding, confirming he "fully supports" the modding community and is eager to try out fan-created content. During a recent press event in Yeouido, South Korea, Kim was asked about his views on modding and responded, “First of all, I fully support the phenomenon of players using mods. In fact, I myself also want to try out some of the more exciting mods.”
He went on to express excitement over the creativity of the community, saying, “I look forward to seeing many players create their own mods and engaging in healthy competition with them to see whose mods are more attractive. I also hope that more players can get involved in mod creation.”
This endorsement comes at a pivotal time—despite the PC version of Stellar Blade not yet being released, the modding community has already sprung into action. Dozens of mods are currently available on Nexus for the PC demo, ranging from custom skins and reshaders to VR enhancements and even nail polish modifications. A number of other mods remain hidden from public view, marked under "adult" categories—best left unexplored in professional company.
Meanwhile, IGN's Stellar Blade review awarded the game a 7/10, praising its core action mechanics while critiquing its underdeveloped characters, lackluster narrative, and certain frustrating RPG elements that hold it back from genre-defining status.
The full PC version of Stellar Blade is set to launch on Steam on June 11, complete with a suite of PC-exclusive features. These include AI-driven upscaling support via Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an unlocked framerate, Japanese and Chinese voiceover options, ultrawide monitor compatibility, enhanced environment textures, and DualSense controller support for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Initially restricted in over 100 countries, the game is now available for pre-order in more than 250 regions. While there is currently no official multiplayer mod for Stellar Blade, intriguing evidence of multiplayer functionality has been discovered within the game’s files—hinting at potential features that may emerge in the future.
