High-Quality USB Camera Viewer & HDMI Display

To transform your device into a versatile portable display for your camera, gaming console, laptop, PC, or any other device with HDMI output, you'll need an HDMI to USB C dongle. This device, also known as a UVC capture device or Video Capture Card, is essential. Note that a USB C hub or a USB C to HDMI cable won't suffice for this purpose.

Additionally, cameras, endoscopes, and microscopes that feature USB streaming capabilities are fully supported by our system.

Noir facilitates UVC video streaming and UAC audio streaming, and users can choose between OpenGL ES and Vulkan for the graphics backend. The free version of Noir provides basic functionality and an immersive user experience, though it includes ads (not displayed during previews). For an enhanced set of features and to contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of Noir, consider purchasing the pro version.

FAQ

1. Why doesn't Noir recognize my device? This could be due to your phone or tablet not supporting USB Host (OTG) or the connected device not being a Video Capture Card. Additionally, if your device cannot provide sufficient power, a USB hub might be needed.
2. Why is the preview so laggy? Lag often results from using the wrong USB version. Ensure both your USB data cable and the port on your device match the capture card's version (USB 3.0 or USB 2.0). For USB 2.0, stick to MJPEG video format at or below 1080p30fps.
3. Why did my capture card suddenly stop working? System issues are often the culprit. A simple restart of your phone or tablet might resolve this.
4. Why do I get a black screen when connecting my gaming console or video playback device? This issue is prevalent with PS5 and PS4 due to HDCP being enabled. Disable HDCP in your PS console's settings (Settings -> System -> HDMI). For other devices, check if HDCP is enabled during video playback. Some HDMI splitters can bypass HDCP, but this solution is not endorsed here.
5. Why are resolutions other than 16:9 and 4:3 not supported? Current capture cards typically only support these ratios. Use Noir's Stretch feature to adjust ratios, ensuring your capture card's EDID supports it and your device's output is set accordingly.
