What is RSTI?

The Self-Employed Workers' Social Scheme (RSTI) is a new initiative from the National Social Security Fund (CNPS) designed to provide comprehensive social coverage for self-employed individuals. This includes protection against illness, accidents, and maternity, as well as a lifetime pension upon reaching retirement age.

Who is a Self-Employed Worker?

RSTI is open to all self-employed workers residing in Côte d'Ivoire, whether they are Ivorian or foreign nationals. This scheme encompasses a wide array of professions including farmers, artisans, traders, transporters, athletes, artists, consultants, miners, non-salaried entrepreneurs, religious workers, and Ivorians working abroad.

What are the Benefits of RSTI?

In the event of illness or an accident leading to incapacity, self-employed workers receive income based on their declarations to the CNPS. For maternity, beneficiaries are entitled to 98 days of income. Upon reaching the age of 60, retirees receive a lifetime pension. In the case of the worker's death, this pension is transferred to their beneficiaries under specified conditions.
