Sci-Fi Puzzle Platformer Planet of Lana Lands on Android with Its Studio Ghibli-Inspired Visuals

Planet of Lana, Wishfully Studio's off-world odyssey, is now available for Android. Originally released in 2023 on PC via Thunderful Publishing, this side-scrolling sci-fi adventure has officially arrived on mobile, with Playdigious handling publication for the platform.

Inspired by cinematic platformers like Inside

The narrative centers on a young girl named Lana whose peaceful existence shatters when her sister is abducted. This event triggers a rescue mission across an isolated planet inhabited by a faceless army of machines.

Lana never travels alone, accompanied throughout her journey by Mui. This small, cat-like companion plays a crucial role in both puzzle-solving and exploration through its unique behaviors and abilities.

Planet of Lana emphasizes movement, observation, and cooperation over combat. Players can swim, navigate diverse terrains, and command Mui to assist them. Due to its smaller size and agility, Mui can access areas that are out of reach for Lana.

By working together, the duo opens new paths, manipulates mechanisms, and solves complex environmental puzzles. Additionally, Mui can hypnotize certain hostile creatures, temporarily taming them to help bypass otherwise dangerous encounters.

Environments transition from lush forests to eerie alien landscapes filled with perilous wildlife and unsettling machinery. The game features a hand-painted visual aesthetic inspired by Studio Ghibli. Check out the gameplay footage below to see for yourself!
