The Battle of Polytopia has spiced up its gameplay with the introduction of Weekly Challenges, offering a fresh and competitive twist to this beloved 4X strategy game. Let's delve into what this new feature brings to the table.
It Was Random Before
Previously, the game's charm lay in its unpredictable nature, with random enemies, resources, and maps keeping players on their toes. However, with the latest free update, the competition becomes more structured, leveling the playing field for everyone.
Each week, all players are given the same map, tribe, and gameplay conditions. The challenge? Achieve the highest score possible within 20 turns. You can only make one attempt per day, giving you a maximum of seven tries each week.
An exciting aspect of the Weekly Challenges is that they allow you to test tribes you might not yet own. The game features a total of 16 tribes—four included in the base game and twelve more available for purchase at $1-4 each. But in The Battle of Polytopia Weekly Challenges, everyone competes with the same tribe, regardless of ownership.

Will Weekly Challenges Make The Battle of Polytopia More Exciting?
Absolutely, the introduction of Weekly Challenges is poised to add a new layer of excitement to The Battle of Polytopia. Alongside this, a new League system has been implemented. All players start in the Entry League, and your performance each week determines whether you move up, down, or stay in the same league. The top third of players advance, the bottom third drop down, and the middle third remain in their current league.
As you progress through the leagues, the difficulty level increases. In the Entry League, you'll face Easy AI opponents, but by the time you reach the Gold League, you'll be up against Crazy difficulty bots. Missing a week won't lead to demotion, but your ranking will adjust based on the performance of other players.
