Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 developer Saber Interactive has rolled out a hotfix with several key fixes and balance adjustments following the launch of the massive 10.0 patch.
In addition to buffing the new and highly popular Power Axe and increasing the number of Accolades awarded for daily Stratagems, this update addresses a bug that had captured the community’s attention—and even inspired a wave of memes.
Here’s the fix in question:
Fixed a bug that caused the Trygon Prime to leave the boss arena and target Cadians in Stratagem mode.
Stratagem mode, a new PvE mode introduced with patch 10.0, features daily and weekly changing Battlefield Conditions that ensure every operation feels unique. Among these modifiers is Cadia Stands, which spawns Imperial Guard soldiers across levels.
Players have enthusiastically embraced seeing Guardsmen join the fight, enhancing the epic scale of battles while honoring the iconic Cadian Shock Troops—perhaps the most recognizable human soldiers in Warhammer 40,000.
Cadia was the site of one of the most pivotal moments in Warhammer 40,000 lore, and the birthplace of the legendary battle cry, “Cadia Stands.” The planet was obliterated when Abaddon the Despoiler crashed a Blackstone Fortress into its surface during his 13th Black Crusade, tearing the world apart and unleashing the Eye of Terror into the Great Rift, fracturing the Imperium. The destruction of Cadia’s ancient Necron pylons, which had kept the Eye of Terror contained, flooded realspace with raw warp energy, dooming the planet and reshaping the galaxy. The Warhammer 40,000 universe has been grappling with the aftermath ever since.
And so, Warhammer 40,000 fans cherish a brave Cadian—especially when fighting alongside a Space Marine. When patch 10 introduced a delightful bug that made the monstrous Trygon Prime fixate on lone Cadian soldiers, players went wild. Memorable clips showed Guardsmen luring the Trygon Prime into fatal traps, often causing it to tumble to its doom. After all—Cadia stands!

“The massive balls of the guardsmen had a gravitational pull on that nasty worm,” commented redditor Suter_Templar in response to the patch. “I love seeing them fight against monsters beyond their comprehension like nobody's business. Honestly they should be permanent always in operations.”
The patch notes, as listed on publisher Focus Entertainment’s website, are below.
