Indus picks up five million downloads and concludes first international playtest in Manila

Author : Thomas Update：Jan 26,2025

Indus, the Indian-made battle royale shooter, surpasses five million Android downloads and 100,000 iOS downloads within two months of its release. This follows a successful international playtest in Manila and a Google Play Award win for "Best Made in India Game 2024."

SuperGaming, the developer, aims to establish Indus as a leading Indian esports title, rivaling games like FAU-G: Domination. The Manila playtest at the YGG Play Summit provided valuable feedback and exposure.

Further solidifying its esports ambitions, SuperGaming launched the Clutch India Movement, featuring the Indus International Tournament. Running from October 2024 to February 2025, this tournament boasts a ₹2.5 crore (approximately $31,000 USD) prize pool.

Significant Achievement, Further Growth Projected

While Indus's five million downloads fall slightly short of its ten million pre-registrations (a common occurrence), the figures remain impressive. The lower iOS download count suggests a need for further market penetration in that segment.

SuperGaming's rapid progression, including international playtests and an esports tournament, demonstrates ambitious plans for Indus's future development.

For players seeking competitive multiplayer experiences, extensive lists of top Android and iOS multiplayer games are readily available.
