Honor of Kings Joins EWC 2025 Lineup
The Esports World Cup 2025 continues expanding its mobile esports roster with today's announcement that Honor of Kings will return as a featured title. Following previous confirmations for PUBG Mobile, Free Fire and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, this marks another major competitive mobile game joining the Riyadh-based tournament.
Tournament Format and Schedule
- 18 international teams competing
- Group stage runs July 15-26
- Grand Finals scheduled for August 16
- $3 million total prize pool
The competition begins with 16 teams divided into four double-elimination groups during the initial stage. Only group winners advance directly to playoffs, while second-place finishers get one final opportunity through a Last Chance qualifier bracket.
Competitive Structure
Early matches will follow best-of-three and best-of-five formats before culminating in best-of-seven showdowns during the playoff bracket. The tournament culminates with both a third-place match and grand finals on August 16th.

Regional Qualifiers Underway
Qualification tournaments across Southeast Asia, Latin America and Middle Eastern regions continue throughout May and June. Top squads from Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and other territories will secure their spots alongside KPL and ACL representatives.
