Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K
Square Enix has finalized the PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, revealing a need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Just two weeks before the PC launch, the updated requirements highlight the need for high-end graphics cards boasting 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K gameplay.
The game leverages DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6, and DirectX 12 Ultimate for enhanced performance and visuals. This follows the PS5 Pro enhancement patch released in November, further optimizing the game for Sony's upgraded console. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, however, Rebirth will not receive any post-launch DLC, as Square Enix is focused on developing Part 3.
Key changes to the previously announced PC specs include the clarified VRAM recommendation: 12-16GB is suggested for 4K resolution. Minimum requirements remain consistent with a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB SSD storage, and 16GB RAM. Recommended CPU options include the Ryzen 5 5600 or equivalent, while the GPU needs to be at least an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 (or AMD equivalent) to support DLSS.

Game director Naoki Hamaguchi previously highlighted the PC port's superior lighting, shaders, and textures. While Steam Deck optimization was mentioned, no further updates have been provided. With the January 23rd launch fast approaching, PC gamers can soon experience Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's enhanced visuals.
