"Fantastic Four: First Steps Update Released for Marvel Contest of Champions"

Kabam has launched an exciting new update for Marvel Contest of Champions, introducing The Fantastic Four in celebration of the upcoming MCU film First Steps. This update brings a fresh trailer and two major features launching on June 4th, 2025.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps update also kicks off the Fantastic FORCE Saga, an all-new storyline within the game. As part of this saga, players can search for collectible Research Grants hidden across multiple game modes. These grants can be exchanged later to unlock a powerful 7-Star Mister Fantastic, making it a must-play for fans of Marvel lore and competitive gameplay alike.

A Month Full of Events & New Content

Mark your calendars—the Vaults of Variant side quest launches on June 11th and will run until July 9th. This event delves into Reed Richards’ experiments with multiverse magic, which may be pushing the boundaries of science—and reality—dangerously far. Players will step in to help Reed manage the chaos as unstable multiversal duplicates threaten to spiral out of control.

Another highlight is the reimagined Captain Britain, who is receiving both gameplay enhancements and visual upgrades. His updated form will debut as a 7-Star Champion starting June 4th, offering a fresh playstyle and improved performance for those looking to add him to their roster.

In addition, Kabam is celebrating the arrival of Marvel Studios’ Ironheart with a special 7-Day Hall of Irons Login Calendar. Available from June 10th to August 1st, this event offers daily login rewards and exclusive in-game offers. The special content goes live on June 24th, aligning with the show’s premiere date.

Pride Month Celebration in June

As June rolls in, so does Marvel Contest of Champions' tribute to Pride Month. This year, two beloved LGBTQ+ characters from The Runaways are joining the fight: Nico Minoru and Karolina Dean.

• Nico Minoru arrives on June 12th
• Karolina Dean follows on June 26th

To complement the celebration, the Runaway Ready solo event runs from June 1st through June 30th, where players can earn milestone rewards and unlock exclusive Pride-themed profile pictures by winning matches across any game mode (excluding Practice).
