Bandai Namco has begun sending out emails to verify participation in the closed testing of *Elden Ring: Nightreign*, scheduled for February 14–17, 2025. These fortunate players will be among the first to dive into the game, designed specifically for three-person cooperative mode, as outlined in the letter.
Due to the immense popularity of *Nightreign*, scammers are taking advantage by distributing fake testing invitations. Some players have reported receiving emails designed to mimic official notifications from Bandai Namco, which falsely claim to offer an invitation to participate in the testing. These fraudulent emails contain links to deceptive websites that closely resemble Steam's interface.

Victims are prompted to log into these fake sites, resulting in the loss of access to their accounts. In some instances, these malicious messages appear to come from the players' own friends. However, some affected users have successfully regained access to their accounts by reaching out to Steam support.
It's crucial to exercise caution with any links received and to verify the authenticity of the sources. When in doubt, it's advisable to stick to official channels and avoid clicking on suspicious links.
In *Elden Ring: Nightreign*, players will no longer have the ability to leave messages within the game. Project director Junya Ishizaki provided insight into this decision during an interview, explaining that the approximately forty-minute-long gaming sessions do not allow enough time for players to leave or check messages. As a result, the messaging feature has been disabled to streamline the gameplay experience.
