Year of Prophecy Roadmap Revealed at Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate Reveal Event
Destiny 2 continues to deliver fresh content to its dedicated free-to-play multiplayer community. During the Edge of Fate reveal livestream on May 7, developer Bungie shared the Year of Prophecy roadmap, outlining the events planned for the remainder of the year.This year's events signify a shift in the format of yearly updates. Bungie stated, "Starting with the Year of Prophecy, each year will now feature four major content beats: two paid expansions and two major updates available to all."
These updates will bring new events, Exotic Missions, gear, rewards, and more. Importantly, this new structure ensures that all players can access Destiny 2's major updates without needing to purchase seasonal activities.
The Edge of Fate Launches July 15
The Year of Prophecy kicks off with the first expansion, The Edge of Fate, launching on July 15. Players will explore the new location, Kepler, and harness unique abilities with the help of new allies.
This update introduces the Portal, "a new activity selection screen that offers instant access to a range of activities tailored to different playstyles, making it easier for players to find their next adventure."

Renegades Coming on December 2
Later this year, Bungie will release the second expansion, Renegades, on December 2. This expansion is a groundbreaking collaboration with the iconic Star Wars franchise.
