Application Description

Halma, also known as Ugolki or куточки уголки, is a classic offline strategy board game that challenges players with its blend of foresight and tactical movement.

v2020.11 – Introduced a completely new artificial intelligence (AI) system for smarter gameplay.
v2021.03.10 – Launched another fully upgraded artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance game dynamics.

Invented in 1883 or 1884 by George Howard Monks, an American thoracic surgeon at Harvard Medical School, Halma was inspired by the English game "Hoppity." The game is played on a checkered board, where pieces are traditionally black and white for two-player matches. In four-player versions, pieces come in distinct colors or designs and are positioned in opposing corners. The objective is simple yet strategic: move all your pieces from your starting corner to the opposite camp. On each turn, a player can either move one piece to an adjacent empty square or perform a series of jumps over other pieces, either their own or opponents'.
