Our second Sloword application is now available, featuring an exciting new way to engage with puzzles. You can access Scanword directly from the first screen by clicking on the image, or find it in the Settings under the "Other applications" section. Give this modern alternative to traditional crosswords a try for a fresh experience.

Scanwords in Russian stand out as a unique phenomenon globally. No other language boasts such a rich tapestry of literary, humorous, and contemporary context-based questions within their puzzles. Despite the apparent simplicity of crosswords, Russian scanwords embody the profound respect the Russian people have for words. They cherish, honor, and value words as the most precious asset.

Our application offers a diverse range of scanwords, from simple to complex, including those with photographs and classic or associative questions like "one word" or "one word, two words," reminiscent of Elder Fur's hints. Each magazine includes an English-Russian scanword and a "holey" one, the name of which you'll soon understand. A character from our cheerful family greets you on every page, inviting you to join our community.

All scanwords are free for our readers. This annual collection features 52-53 issues, each containing 20 scanwords. The complete set will occupy approximately 50 MB on your device, as we keep the images small and the text concise, respecting your phone's storage space.

You don't need an internet connection to solve the puzzles, provided the scanwords are already downloaded on your phone. A new issue is released every Friday, and if you've enabled notifications, you'll receive a reminder at 12:00 local time. Upon opening the app, the new issue downloads automatically and won't repeat if successful. Additionally, you can download or delete individual issues or use the "Settings" to download all magazines at once.

The core features, including access to all scanwords, are free for our users. Advertising supports this offering, allowing for one narrow banner per page and one interstitial ad before opening a scanword. Our advertisers respect your solving experience and don't interrupt it. They also reward you with free hints for watching their videos.

Readers have the option, but not the obligation, to manage their advertising experience by: a) permanently disabling ads, b) subscribing to remove ads and gain unlimited hints during the subscription period, or c) collecting hints in bulk. These options are clearly displayed in the "Shop."
