Warzone Glitch Sparks Player Suspensions

Call of Duty: Warzone Glitch Causes Unfair Suspensions and Player Outrage

A frustrating bug in Call of Duty: Warzone's Ranked Play mode is leading to unfair player suspensions and Skill Rating (SR) penalties. The problem stems from a developer error that causes game crashes, which the system mistakenly interprets as intentional quits.

This isn't the first time Call of Duty has faced player backlash. Despite its popularity, the franchise has struggled with persistent glitches and cheating issues in recent months. While developers have acknowledged improvements to anti-cheat and bug-fixing systems, the recent January update appears to have introduced new problems, including this critical Ranked Play flaw.

As reported by CharlieIntel, the glitch triggers a 15-minute suspension and a 50 SR penalty for players experiencing game crashes due to developer errors. This is particularly damaging as SR directly impacts a player's competitive rank and end-of-season rewards, as highlighted by content creator DougisRaw.

Player Anger Mounts Amidst Ongoing Issues

The situation has sparked significant outrage within the Warzone community. Players are expressing frustration over lost win streaks and demanding compensation for the SR losses incurred due to the unintended suspensions. The widespread criticism underscores the game's current state, with some players labeling it "ridiculously garbage." This latest incident follows a December shutdown and ongoing concerns about declining player numbers.

Recent reports show a near 50% drop in player counts for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on platforms like Steam, despite the recent addition of new content, including a Squid Game collaboration. This decline further emphasizes the urgent need for developers to address these persistent issues and restore player confidence. The continued glitches and resulting negative player experience threaten the long-term health of the game.
