Thousand (1000) - Schnapsen

A classic and popular card game designed for three players, using a 24-card deck.

At the moment the game uses next agreements:

- A player needs 880 points to declare a barrel.

- Points are cleared after a player has three unsuccessful attempts to play a barrel.

- A player receives a bolt if they score zero points in a round.

- Upon accumulating three bolts, a player is penalized with a 120-point fine.

- In case of surrendering, the player is fined the stated amount, and each of the remaining two players receives half of that fine.

The game supports the following settings:

- To win the game, a player must gain more than 1000 points.

- Points are cleared if a player reaches exactly 555 or -555 points.

- A barrel game can be played on a player's own turn without requiring bids from others (see below).

- Cards are redealt if the talon or a hand contains fewer points than a set threshold.

- Ace marriage.

- Golden round.

- Combined barrel play scenarios.

Barrel game on "own turn”:

A player may initiate a barrel round upon reaching 880 points and having the "own turn".

The turn is considered "own" when a player holds the right to the first call during bidding.

In this case, the player automatically wins the bidding and takes the talon (regardless of other players' card strength).

If the game is unsuccessful, it counts as a failed attempt, and the player incurs a 120-point fine.

After three unsuccessful attempts, the player's points are reset to zero.

When a player is in a barrel but does not have the "own turn", play proceeds normally, but they earn no points (and an unsuccessful try is not recorded).

It is also permitted for multiple players to simultaneously have 880 points and be eligible for a barrel game.

In such a situation, the barrel player is determined by turn order.
