HoYoverse has unveiled an exciting new update for *Tears of Themis* titled the Ballad of the Dunes, which marks a unique collaboration with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism. This crossover event seamlessly blends the allure of detective work with the rich cultural heritage of Dunhuang, a historic city on the edge of the Gobi Desert.

What Does Ballad of the Dunes Bring to Tears of Themis?

The Ballad of the Dunes event is a captivating mix of history, romance, and mystery, set against the backdrop of the ancient Silk Road. Players are invited to immerse themselves in solving mysteries while surrounded by the enchanting vibes of Dunhuang. Here's what the update brings to *Tears of Themis*:

The event introduces four new MR cards, each featuring one of the main characters—Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius—dressed in styles inspired by Dunhuang's culture. You'll encounter elements like flying apsaras, intricate murals, and the classic pipa played behind the back, reminiscent of ancient performers in the Mogao Caves. This collaboration brings the historical Silk Road, a hub of art, culture, and trade from the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD), to life in the digital realm of *Tears of Themis*.

Each card tells a unique story: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation." These cards are accompanied by Private Messages that delve into a journey spanning a thousand years.

What Are the Rewards?

From February 13th to February 20th, 2025, players can earn rewards such as Camel Bells, S-Chips, and other goodies by completing event tasks. The main challenge involves flipping cells on a game board to uncover rewards. The ultimate prize is the pack of Ballad of the Dunes MR cards, where you can choose one of the four MR cards as your final reward in each round. Flip 100 cells, and you'll unlock the exclusive Celebration – Dunes Namecard.
