Unleash your keys with Keymapper, the ultimate open-source solution for customizing your device's controls! Whether you're looking to remap fingerprint gestures on supported devices, volume buttons, navigation buttons, or even inputs from Bluetooth/wired keyboards and other connected devices, Keymapper has got you covered. Just remember, only hardware buttons can be remapped, and there's no guarantee that every button will work as intended. This app is not designed for controlling games, and your device's OEM/vendor might block remapping capabilities.

With Keymapper, you can combine multiple keys from a specific device or any device to create a "trigger." Each trigger can have multiple actions, and you can set keys to be pressed simultaneously or in a sequence. You can even customize the behavior for short presses, long presses, or double presses. Additionally, you can set constraints on a keymap to ensure it only activates under specific conditions.

However, not all buttons can be remapped. The power button, Bixby button, mouse buttons, and game controller inputs like Dpads, thumb sticks, or triggers are off-limits. Also, keep in mind that your key maps won't work if the screen is off, which is an Android limitation beyond the developer's control.

Regarding permissions, you don't need to grant all of them for the app to function. The app will prompt you if a permission is necessary for a specific feature. Keymapper requires the Accessibility Service to listen to and block key events, Device Admin to turn off the screen, Modify System Settings to adjust brightness and rotation, and Camera permission to control the flashlight. Note that on some devices, enabling the accessibility service may disable enhanced data encryption.
