Initially, Grace was a top-tier Agent due to her potent Anomaly-building capabilities. However, with the introduction of more Anomaly units, her utility has diminished, particularly with the emergence of the formidable Miyabi. This update to the Zenless Zone Zero tier list reflects these shifts and ranks characters based on their current standing.

S-Tier

S-Tier characters in Zenless Zone Zero excel in their roles and synergize seamlessly with others.

Miyabi

Miyabi stands out as a top-tier character in ZZZ due to her rapid Frost attacks and massive damage output. While she requires some strategic buildup, mastering her patterns unleashes her full potential, allowing her to dominate the battlefield.

Jane Doe

Jane Doe surpasses Piper in ZZZ with her ability to critically hit Assault Anomaly, delivering significantly higher damage. Despite Anomaly being slower than pure DPS, Jane Doe's powerful Assault capabilities secure her a place in the S-Rank alongside Zhu Yuan and Ellen.

Yanagi

Yanagi specializes in triggering Disorder without applying Shock on top of another Anomaly. As long as an enemy is affected by any Anomaly, Yanagi can easily trigger Disorder, making her an ideal partner for Miyabi in ZZZ.

Zhu Yuan

Zhu Yuan excels as a swift DPS in ZZZ, utilizing her Shotshells effectively. She synergizes well with Stun and Support characters, particularly with Qingyi and Nicole in version 1.1. Qingyi's quick stuns and Nicole's Ether damage boosts and DEF reductions enhance Zhu Yuan's performance.

Caesar

Caesar redefines the Defense Agent role with exceptional protection, buffs, and debuffs. Her Impact scaling allows easy enemy stuns, and her crowd control gathers small enemies, making her a leader in the support tier list.

Qingyi

Qingyi's universal Stun capabilities make her a valuable asset in any team with an Attack Agent. Her fluid movements and Daze-building Basic Attacks, combined with a massive DMG multiplier on stunned enemies, set her apart, though she doesn't outshine Lycaon in Ellen teams.

Lighter

Lycaon

Lycaon's Ice and Stun combat style, reliant on charged Basic and EX Special Attacks, aids in Anomaly reactions. His ability to reduce enemies' Ice resistance while boosting allies' Daze DMG makes him essential for Ice teams in Zenless Zone Zero.

Ellen

Ellen's synergy with Lycaon and Soukaku, utilizing the Ice element for high damage, places her at the top of the ZZZ tier list. Her powerful EX Special Attacks and Ultimates shine when following Lycaon's stuns and Soukaku's buffs.

Harumasa

Harumasa, an S-Rank Electric-Attack Agent once given for free, requires specific conditions to unleash his potent hits, making him a valuable addition to any team.

Soukaku

Soukaku's role as a buffer in Zenless Zone Zero enhances Ice teams with her Icy hits and buffs, making her one of the best supports when paired with Ellen or Lycaon.

Rina

Lucy

Lucy's Support role includes off-field damage and a significant ATK% buff lasting up to 15 seconds. Her DPS potential increases with synergy from other characters, activating her Additional Ability.

Piper

Piper's EX Special Attack is one of the best in Zenless Zone Zero. Her spinning attack triggers Assault and builds Physical Anomaly, synergizing well with other Anomaly units to create steady Disorder.

Grace

Grace's quick Shock application triggers continuous damage, making her a strong Anomaly character. When paired with other Anomaly builders, she can trigger Disorder, though newer Anomaly Agents have shifted her position in the tier list.

Koleda

Koleda's reliable Fire/Stun capabilities and swift Daze-building make her a versatile choice, especially with synergy from other Fire characters like Ben, enhancing her movesets.

Anby

Soldier 11

Ben

Ben, the only defensive character in Zenless Zone Zero 1.0, is fun to play with his parry and punish abilities. He enhances Koleda's movesets, but his slow combat and limited benefits outside of Crit Rate buffs and a decent shield make him less appealing than mastering dodging.

Nekomata

Nekomata's AoE damage potential as an Attack unit relies heavily on team synergy. Her Physical element and faction limit her current options, but future updates may enhance her standing with more supportive Physical characters.

C-Tier

C-Tier characters in Zenless Zone Zero currently offer limited utility.

Corin

Corin's Physical DMG excels with continuous slashes on Stunned enemies, but she is outclassed by Nekomata's AoE capabilities and Piper's Physical Anomaly application.

Billy

Billy's loud presence and frequent shooting don't translate to high damage output. While effective in quick-swap teams, many other DPS characters, even within the Physical Attack category, outperform him.
