One of Android's most popular racing games no longer requires an upfront purchase. While not entirely free, you can now test it before committing to the full version. HandyGames has released a new Try & Buy edition of Wreckfest on Android.
What's Included in the Wreckfest Try & Buy Version?
Functionally, it's identical. You can install the complete game and enjoy full access for a limited trial period. This is the same chaotic racing experience, featuring all the original game modes and the entire lineup of vehicles.
Let's start with the car selection in this Try & Buy version. These vehicles are gloriously battered, rusty, and held together with patches. Your options range from classic American muscle and European hatchbacks to unique Asian compacts.
Available modes include local multiplayer, challenges, and a comprehensive career. Compete in championships to earn experience, unlock performance upgrades, and climb the ranks. You have full control over settings like driving assists and choosing between automatic or manual transmission.
A standout feature is Wreckfest's realistic soft-body damage physics. If your front-left side takes a hit, your car will visibly pull in that direction. Every collision, bump, and scrape genuinely affects your vehicle's handling and performance.
Ready to Give It a Go?
If you haven't played Wreckfest yet, this trial is a perfect chance to experience it. The full PC version launched in June 2018, following an extensive early access period. It was developed by Bugbear Entertainment and published by THQ Nordic.
The mobile port arrived in November 2022. Now, with the Try & Buy version, you can personally dive into the demolition derby mayhem. You can find this new edition on the Google Play Store.
