miHoYo (HoYoverse) has released a new story trailer for Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) featuring Evelyn Chevalier, a returning character from ZZZ 1.5. The trailer showcases Evelyn undertaking various assignments, culminating in a seemingly failed commission for Astra Yao, now a singer in the ZZZ universe with Evelyn as her assistant.
Gameplay-wise, Evelyn is an S-rank Fire-attribute heroine specializing in attack. Her unique ability involves focusing on a primary target, drawing enemy attacks and triggering extended attack chains during basic attacks. When utilizing multi-stage or special attacks, she binds herself to the target with "Forbidden Bounds."
Evelyn's skills generate Tribal Threads and Scorch Points, fueling powerful fire-based abilities that inflict substantial damage. A highlight of her combat style, revealed in leaks and now the trailer, is her dramatic removal and use of her cape as a weapon against opponents. Many players are already captivated by her character and fighting prowess.
