Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest has landed on mobile devices. This officially licensed RPG, developed by Hong Kong's Zenifun Technology, faithfully recreates Yoshihiro Togashi's universe of spirit detectives, demon realms, and epic martial arts tournaments.
The original manga series first appeared in November 1990, crafted by Yoshihiro Togashi with inspiration from horror films, Buddhist mythology, and supernatural themes. It delivered everything fans love: intense street fights, memorable characters, afterlife bureaucracy, and thrilling demon battles.
What's the Game About?
Set in the same world as the beloved manga and anime, the game begins with the iconic origin story. You follow 14-year-old delinquent Yusuke Urameshi after he sacrifices himself to save a child from an accident.
Players experience Yusuke's extraordinary journey through the spirit world as he becomes an Underworld Detective, solving supernatural cases that gradually escalate into high-octane combat scenarios.
Assemble teams featuring fan-favorite characters like Kuwabara, Hiei, Kurama, and others, each bringing unique abilities to combat. The gacha system adds excitement as you collect these characters through the Demon World in PvE mode or compete in PvP battles via the Dark Tournament mode.
The game expands beyond the main storyline, exploring deeper arcs including the Demon Realm's mysteries and the Demon World Tournament. Enjoy fresh content alongside nostalgic moments in the trailer below.
Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest features idle combat mechanics enhanced by cinematic storytelling sequences.
The authentic experience includes the original Japanese voice cast reprising their roles and cel-shaded 3D graphics that perfectly capture the anime's emotional intensity and dynamic action.
While fans waited decades for this official RPG adaptation, Yu Yu Hakusho: Slugfest is now available as a free-to-play title on the Google Play Store.
