Xbox Game Pass is kicking off 2025 with a mix of titles, starting slow but gaining momentum. While the first half of January saw primarily tier shifts, the latter half boasts a robust selection of new games, headlined by day-one releases for Ultimate subscribers.

Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, a co-op and PvP skiing game, leads the charge, launching on January 21st exclusively for Game Pass Ultimate members. This marks another day-one addition to the Ultimate tier, a trend established since recent subscription changes.

The initial January 2025 Game Pass additions were somewhat underwhelming, with only Diablo (PC Game Pass) and EA Sports UFC 5 (Ultimate) standing out. However, the second half of the month more than compensates.

February 2025 currently appears less eventful, with only Avowed (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, February 18th) confirmed. However, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have plenty to anticipate in the meantime, enjoying the wave of January's day-one releases.
