Wild Rift Patch 6.1 Goes Cosmic in Mid-April

LoL: Wild Rift's Patch 6.1, dubbed "Ascending Stars," is set to launch on April 16th, promising an exhilarating cosmic transformation that extends from the menus to the battlefield. This update introduces players to the enchanting Dual Nova galaxy, featuring the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star, enhancing the gaming experience with a new universe to explore.

This patch brings three new champions into the fray, each designed to shake up the meta with their unique abilities. Ryze, the Rune Mage, offers immense area-of-effect damage and the strategic advantage of teleporting teammates across the map with his Realm Warp ability. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives in chaos, using Paranoia to cast his enemies into total darkness. Lastly, Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time itself, slowing down foes and reviving allies with Chronoshift, adding a strategic depth to team compositions.

Several champions are also receiving significant reworks. Garen's Courage will now scale over time, enhancing his tankiness, while his Judgment ability will be more effective at shredding enemy armor. Ambessa transitions from the jungle to the Baron lane, with modifications to her damage and life steal. Additionally, smaller adjustments are in store for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, ensuring a fresh feel to familiar faces.

Beyond champion updates, the Bandle-inspired Rift introduces a new twist in non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that appear through portals during the laning phase, adding an extra layer of strategy and excitement. Mages will also benefit from new item updates, including the Bandle Fantasy item that boosts burst damage, Hextech GLP800 which slows enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance that enhances ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.

Ranked mode sees evolution with the new season coinciding with the launch of the Challenger’s Star, introducing updates to the Ranked store and simplifying the process to earn seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star unlocks, bringing AAAARAM, a novel twist on ARAM with additional augments and stunning galactic visuals. Furthermore, the Wild Pass introduces two captivating skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus, with Twisted Fate’s new look launching an entirely new skinline.
