Ubisoft finally patched incompatibility of AC Origins and Valhalla with Windows 11

Author : Isabella Update：Feb 23,2025

Ubisoft provides a positive update amidst ongoing challenges. A significant compatibility issue impacting several Assassin's Creed titles on Windows 11 has been resolved. The problem, stemming from Windows 11's 24H2 update, caused malfunctions in games like Assassin's Creed Origins and Valhalla since Fall 2024. Recent patches have addressed this, prompting positive feedback from gamers who previously experienced issues. While overall game reviews remain "Mixed," the resolution of this Windows-related problem is a welcome development. There's optimism that Assassin's Creed Shadows, recently delayed until March 20th for quality improvements, will avoid similar compatibility problems. The game's launch is considered crucial for Ubisoft's future.
