Sydney Sweeney's Bathwater Sale Sparks Outrage and Curiosity Online

Author : Penelope Update:Jun 22,2025

When Sydney Sweeney first appeared in a sultry bath scene for Dr. Squatch’s body wash back in October 2024, fans were captivated — and curious. Just how far would the *Euphoria* and *Madame Web* star go for a brand collaboration? Well, now we have the answer, and it's bold, unique, and very much on-brand for Sweeney. She’s partnering with Dr. Squatch once again — this time for a limited-edition soap dubbed “Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss,” which supposedly contains her actual bathwater.

“You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad… so we kept it,” Sweeney posted on Instagram. “Introducing Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss! A very real, very limited-edition soap made with my actual bathwater.”

Predictably, the internet has been buzzing with reactions to the product, which is being released in a limited run of just 5,000 bars. While some fans expressed skepticism, others leaned into the humor and marketing genius behind the idea. One Reddit user from r/Entertainment commented, “Legally you can't actually sell sanitary products unless they are well... clean so it's just an ad hook. Though I'd imagine she helped pick the scent.” Another chimed in, “Realistically, it’s bathwater that'll be purified to the point where it's just ‘normal’ water. It’s a gimmick — and it’s going to sell millions.”

Speculation around the logistics of producing such a product also took off. One fan joked, “I’m just imagining her needing to siphon the bath water into buckets with lids after every bath, then someone picks it up every other week and drives it across state lines to a soap-making facility. Do people really think that’s happening?” Another witty response came quickly: “Of course not. She bathes at the factory.”

Others offered more practical takes. “It could also just be a medicine dropper full for an entire 1,000-gallon batch or something,” one user suggested. Another did the math: “Since it’s limited to 5,000 bars, it would only take one bath, assuming she’s using 2 oz of water per bar of soap. 302 liters per bathtub, ~34 oz per liter.”

Still, many fans remained skeptical. “There is zero chance it actually has bathwater in it,” one Redditor wrote. “It's a joke brand — they always make crazy claims like this with their soaps.”

Sweeney has long been known for making savvy and sometimes surprising brand decisions, and fans have taken notice. Some questioned her motivations: “Ok, for real though, did she just get addicted to the hustle? Or is she drowning in debt?” But another fan offered a more realistic perspective: “There are no more *true* movie stars anymore. The only ones are the same ones from 30 years ago. These celebs have extremely short shelf lives, especially ones like her. She’s gotta capitalize now before the next one pops up.”

While some found the collaboration baffling, others recognized it as a smart business move. “Yeah, this seems like something a has-been D-lister would do, not someone who I thought was at the top of her game?” one user said. Another countered, “I’d guess that D-lister hustle with A-lister appeal generates way more money.”

Ultimately, most fans seem to agree that Sweeney is playing the game well. “She ain’t stupid and she knows her audience,” one person noted. Another added, “I mean why not sucker money out of the simps? It’s pretty funny.” And a third chimed in, “Probably worth it in the end — so many weirdos in the world. She's about to be a multi-zillionaire.”

As strange as it sounds, many are lining up to get their hands on a bar of this unusual soap — though only a few thousand will actually be available. Naturally, some fans already have plans for misuse. “Millions of people are going to be doing the ‘Tim Robinson apologizing for being a bad boy in Friendship,’” one user joked. Another followed up: “People are gonna eat the soap, aren’t they?” Yes, buddy, they probably are.

If you’re among the curious, mark your calendars — Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss drops on June 6 exclusively on [ttpp].
