Stellar Blade is set to receive a full sequel, as confirmed by its developer, Shift Up. The PlayStation-published action game, which launched in April 2024, garnered positive feedback from players who appreciated its gameplay, noting similarities to NieR: Automata and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
Shift Up, a Korean company, announced the sequel in a chart outlining its future projects, which was part of their latest financial results released today. The chart indicates that the Stellar Blade sequel is slated for release before 2027, alongside other upcoming titles.
Before the sequel hits the market, Stellar Blade is set to expand to other platforms, most likely referring to its upcoming PC version, scheduled for release on June 11, 2025. Additionally, Shift Up's development roadmap includes the launch of Project Witches, a new multiplatform action RPG that remains largely under wraps.

Earlier this week, Shift Up mentioned they were addressing a PC region lock issue with Sony, which had affected the game's availability on Steam in over 100 countries.
In our review, IGN described Stellar Blade as a "gorgeous and well-crafted action game with very impressive strengths and very clear weaknesses." While the game's story and characters were criticized for lacking depth, and some RPG elements such as sidequests were deemed unengaging, the action was praised for its Sekiro-inspired combat system, challenging enemies, and rewarding exploration elements.
