Fans eager to dive into the initial episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will need to jump into Fortnite to catch the series before it hits Disney+. Epic Games has announced an exciting expansion of its Star Wars content, revealing that the first two episodes of this animated spinoff will premiere exclusively within Fortnite. This move is part of Epic's strategy to enhance its Star Wars offerings during the upcoming Galactic Battle season, which promises a host of Star Wars-themed rewards.
Starting at 10 a.m. ET on May 2, you can experience the premiere of *Tales of the Underworld* with two episodes featuring Asajj Ventress on the Star Wars Watch Party island, two days ahead of its Disney+ debut. Epic encourages fans to link their Epic Games and MyDisney accounts, offering a First Order Stormtrooper outfit as an incentive. While the full benefits of connecting accounts remain a mystery, Epic hints at more perks on the horizon.“Disney and Epic are pioneering the future of social entertainment together, and this expansive Star Wars collaboration offers a glimpse into the type of interactive experiences we envision,” stated Epic Games President Adam Sussman. “We are reimagining what’s possible with immersive storytelling in Fortnite with one of the world’s most beloved franchises - stay tuned for a lot more to come.”
You have until May 11 to watch both episodes of Tales of the Underworld on the Star Wars Watch Party island, which will also feature a Battle Arena for players to engage in lightsaber battles against waves of enemies. Those who watch both episodes will be rewarded with an Asajj Ventress loading screen.

Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld is a six-episode series animated in the style of The Clone Wars, focusing on Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane. The series promises thrilling narratives where Ventress faces a new chance at life and a new ally, while Bane confronts his past.
Disney's collaboration with Fortnite goes beyond the Galactic Battle season. In March 2024, Disney acquired a $1.5 billion stake in Epic, setting the stage for long-term partnerships. This investment will lead to more collaborations, including additional Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar outfits in Fortnite. Anticipated highlights for the next season include Darth Jar Jar and Emperor Palpatine.
Since its launch in 2017, Fortnite has remained a dominant force in the gaming world. Recent partnerships, such as the Sabrina Carpenter crossover, have kept the game fresh and engaging, inviting players to swap their pickaxes for dancing shoes.
