Top Spring 2025 Anime Recommendations
In my roundup of Spring 2025 anime dubs coming to Crunchyroll, I've highlighted ***The Apothecary Diaries, Once Upon A Witch’s Death, The Beginning After The End, To Be Hero X***, and ***WITCH WATCH***. However, there are several other noteworthy series from the list above that you should definitely consider adding to your watch list.
***Devil May Cry***, Netflix's latest video game adaptation, promises an exciting blend of action and style. With a trailer featuring Limp Bizkit and a new Evanescence track, the creators are clearly aiming to capture the essence of the game's edgy atmosphere. Directed by Adi Shankar, known for *Castlevania* and *Guardians of Justice*, and animated by Studio Mir, the team behind *Avatar: The Last Airbender* and *Korra*, this series is set to appeal to fans of anime like *Trigun* and the adventures of Dante, the ultimate '00s edgelord.
***Moonrise*** brings an intriguing concept to the table with the moon fighting for independence. Produced by WIT Studio, known for *Attack On Titan* and *Vinland Saga*, and featuring character designs by Hiromu Arakawa of *Fullmetal Alchemist* fame, this ONA has a powerhouse team behind it. Directed by Masashi Koizuka, who helmed *Attack On Titan* Seasons 2 & 3, *Moonrise* promises to be a visually stunning and engaging series, even though plot details remain under wraps.
Lastly, ***YAIBA: Samurai Legends***, based on the manga by Gosho Aoyama, creator of *Case Closed*, offers a humorous take on samurai battles. This new adaptation by WIT Studio follows the comedic adventures of Yaiba Kurogane, making it a must-watch for fans of *Detective Conan* and the early, light-hearted antics of *Dragon Ball*. With Aoyama involved in production, this series is poised to blend humor, action, and historical references in a delightful package.
