Camera have officially rolled on "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," with star Tom Holland sharing behind-the-scenes photos of himself suited up and riding a tank.
Holland's fourth solo film as the beloved wall-crawler is now filming in Glasgow, Scotland. A portion of the city is currently doubling for exterior scenes featuring the actor and some substantial military hardware.
Following last week's first official look at Holland's updated Spider-Man suit, the actor has now posted images of himself in the costume—wearing a harness—atop a massive armored vehicle.
Holland shared the images on his Instagram with the caption "Spider-Man Brand New Day 1." It's a striking way to begin principal photography, and since this sequence is being shot in public, fan-captured video of Holland on the tank is also circulating online.
Viewer discretion is advised for the TikTok clip from user jamieg1510 below, as a bystander spots the action and exclaims, "It's f***ing Spider-Man!" We couldn't agree more.

Scheduled for release on July 31, 2026, "Brand New Day" marks the return of Tom Holland's Spider-Man following the poignant conclusion of 2021's "No Way Home." In that film, after parting ways with his fellow Spider-Men from other universes, Peter Parker made the heartbreaking choice to have his love interest MJ (Zendaya) and best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) forget him to keep them safe.
This new adventure essentially starts with a clean slate and introduces a new ensemble of co-stars, though Zendaya and Batalon are expected to return in reduced capacities. "Stranger Things" star Sadie Sink is set to play a significant, yet undisclosed role, while Jon Bernthal reprises his MCU role as Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher.
A report last week also indicated that Mark Ruffalo's Hulk and Michael Mando's Scorpion will appear. Furthermore, close-up shots of the armored vehicle—which appears identical to the one Holland is riding—reveal a telling logo that might hint at the film's true antagonist.
Spider-Man and the Hulk are two major Marvel characters not currently confirmed for the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday," which is also in production at Pinewood Studios in London. Meanwhile, Jon Bernthal is completing work on his Punisher television special in New York. All three of these MCU projects are currently slated for release next year.
