Silksong Developer Reaffirms Release For Switch 1
Following Silksong's brief appearance at the Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2, fans speculated that the game might bypass the current generation and launch directly on the next-gen console. Originally announced in 2019 for PC and the original Switch, Silksong later expanded to include PlayStation and Xbox console releases.
Matthew Griffin, Team Cherry's Marketing and PR Handler, took to Twitter (X) on April 8 to address fans' concerns about the game's platform availability. Griffin confirmed that Silksong will indeed be released on both the original Nintendo Switch and the Switch 2.
While there are no official details on how these versions will differ, players can anticipate that the game will benefit from higher resolution and enhanced features on the Switch 2.
New Silksong Images Revealed
Following the Nintendo Direct for Switch 2, new images of Silksong were shared on Nintendo Japan's official website. Although the depicted locations are familiar from previous reveals, fans have noted graphical enhancements since the 2019 showcase.
Despite the developers maintaining a veil of secrecy around the game, Silksong's appearance during the Switch 2 Direct and the release of new images hint at an impending announcement regarding its release date.
