The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, Shining Revelry, has introduced shiny variants and added over 110 new cards to the game, drawing from the Paldea region. This update has me itching to spend more of my Pack Hourglasses on a 10-pack pull. I took the plunge as soon as the update went live, spending a good chunk of my hard-earned currency. Fortunately, I pulled a Charizard EX, although the rest of my haul was less exciting. However, getting a Pokémon Center Lady card was a small consolation; her ability to heal Special Conditions like Burns could be a game-changer in the right situation.
As with previous expansions, Shining Revelry also includes an Emblem event, allowing players to earn new badges to show off to their friends. But the real excitement comes with the introduction of Ranked Matches. Players can now compete against others, climbing from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Points earned during these matches will be displayed, and at the end of each approximately one-month season, participants will receive an emblem. This feature has me motivated to dust off my dueling skills and start crafting some competitive decks.
