Sonic Rumble, despite not having a global launch yet, has kicked off an exciting crossover event named Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars. This event is currently live and will run until May 7th, just before the game's worldwide launch on May 8th. Currently in soft launch, Sonic Rumble is available in over 40 countries, having initially launched in regions such as the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, and Colombia during its first pre-launch in Summer 2024. The second pre-launch extended to Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, South Africa, and more.
What's in Store?
If you're in one of the soft-launch regions, you can jump into the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover. The event brings back the Altered Beast crew, with the Werewolf transformation available for free. Fans of nostalgic beast modes can also get the Werebear and Weredragon, though their availability depends on your payment method. The Weredragon is part of the Premium Pass, while the Werebear might be purchasable with regular rings.
Fantasy Zone enthusiasts will enjoy the addition of Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa. Opa-Opa is included in the Premium Pass, while Upa-Upa can be obtained through fragments bought with standard rings, each costing 700 rings.
Super Monkey Ball's AiAi and MeeMee have also joined the crossover. To get AiAi, you'll need to spend 729 Red Star Rings. You can get a glimpse of the crossover event in the video below.
Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover
During the event, you can earn additional rewards by collecting SEGA logos during matches. Although it might seem unusual for the event to be live before the global release, SEGA has assured that most of these pre-release rewards will return later.
This first crossover event showcases a deep dive into SEGA's rich catalog, blending monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and transformed beasts with Sonic and friends, making Sonic Rumble a promising title.
You can download the game from the Google Play Store or wait for its global release on May 8th in your region.
