The 1997 Nintendo 64 classic, Doom 64, received a 2020 upgrade for PS4 and Xbox One, boasting enhanced visuals and a new level. This ESRB listing now includes PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions, a strong indicator of a forthcoming release. Such ratings are typically submitted close to launch, and past instances show the ESRB revealing games before official announcements (e.g., Felix the Cat's 2023 re-release).
While a PC port isn't explicitly mentioned, the 2020 version launched on Steam, and modding communities already offer Doom 64 experiences on PC. Bethesda's history of surprise releases for older Doom titles further fuels speculation of a similar, unannounced launch for Doom 64.
