What Are Pokemon Vending Machines? What They Sell and How To Find One Near You

Pokémon TCG Vending Machines: A Guide for Collectors

Pokémon fans are buzzing about the Pokémon vending machines popping up across the US! These aren't your average snack dispensers; they offer a convenient way to grab Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) products. This guide answers your burning questions.

What are Pokémon Vending Machines?

These automated machines dispense a range of Pokémon TCG merchandise. While not budget-friendly, they offer a quick and easy way to acquire cards and other related items. The current US models, initially trialled in Washington in 2017, feature touchscreen interfaces, replacing older button-operated designs. Brightly colored and clearly branded, they're easy to spot in participating stores. Transactions are handled via credit card, and a digital receipt is emailed to the purchaser. Note that returns are not accepted.

What do they sell?

Primarily, these machines stock Pokémon TCG products like booster packs and Elite Trainer Boxes. While supplies vary by location, a recent visit showed a good selection, even during a busy shopping period. Unlike some Pokémon Center machines in Washington State (which offer a wider variety of merchandise and seem to be less common now), these focus solely on TCG items. Plushies, apparel, and video games are not typically available.
