How to Use Photo Mode in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Capture the Beauty of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 with Photo Mode

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is visually stunning, especially in fidelity mode. If you want to preserve some of that beauty beyond gameplay, the game offers a built-in photo mode. Let's explore how to use it.

Activating Photo Mode

Unlike some games that add photo mode later or lack it entirely, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 includes it from launch. Activation is simple:

  • PC: Press F1 on your keyboard, or press both L3 and R3 simultaneously on a joypad.
  • Xbox Series X|S / PlayStation 5: Press both L3 and R3 simultaneously on your controller (pushing both joysticks inward).

Photo Mode Controls

Once in photo mode, you can freely manipulate the camera: move around Henry, zoom in and out, and adjust vertical positioning. Here's a breakdown of the controls:

Xbox Series X|S:

  • Rotate camera: Left Stick
  • Move camera horizontally: Right Stick
  • Move camera up: Left Trigger (LT)
  • Move camera down: Right Trigger (RT)
  • Hide Interface: X button
  • Exit photo mode: B button
  • Take picture: Press the Xbox button, then Y button

PlayStation 5:

  • Rotate camera: Left Stick
  • Move camera horizontally: Right Stick
  • Move camera up: Left Trigger (L2)
  • Move camera down: Right Trigger (R2)
  • Hide interface: Square button
  • Exit photo mode: Circle button
  • Take picture: Press the Share button and select "Take Screenshot" (or hold down Share).

PC (Keyboard and Mouse):

  • Move camera: Mouse
  • Slow move: Caps Lock
  • Hide interface: X key
  • Exit photo mode: Esc key
  • Take picture: E key

Screenshots are saved to your Pictures folder on PC or your console's capture gallery.

Photo Mode Limitations

While the photo mode allows for positional freedom around Henry, its features are currently limited. Unlike more advanced photo modes, it lacks options for character posing, color grading, time of day adjustments, or adding characters. Hopefully, future updates will expand its capabilities.

Despite its current simplicity, the inclusion of a photo mode is a welcome addition to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, offering a way to capture the game's stunning visuals.
