Where To Find the Sisters of Garukhan

The Sisters of Garukhan shrine appears twice in the campaign: once in Act 2 and again in Act 2 Cruel. Locating it requires careful exploration of the Spires of Deshar map. The shrine's icon is easily missed on the world map. While map generation is random, the shrine always spawns within this specific map. Thorough exploration is key. The shrine resembles the image above. Activating it grants the +10% Lightning Resistance buff, but be warned: dormant automatons will awaken and attack upon interaction. Using the checkpoint near the shrine allows for quick access after reaching it once.

Claiming the +10% Lightning Resistance Buff

The +10% Lightning Resistance is applied instantly upon interacting with the Sisters of Garukhan statues. It's not a dropped item or a reward for defeating the automatons; it's an immediate effect. Activating the shrine in both Act 2 and Act 2 Cruel yields a total of +20% Lightning Resistance.

Troubleshooting: Why Isn't My Lightning Resistance Increasing?

Many players find it confusing that despite activating the shrine and receiving the confirmation message, their resistance values remain negative. This is due to a game mechanic: a -10% debuff to all elemental resistances is applied after each Act completion (Chaos Resistance is unaffected). Therefore, activating the shrine in Act 2 nets a zero change in Lightning Resistance (the buff cancels the Act 1 debuff). In Act 2 Cruel, the net increase is only 10%, offsetting some of the Act 2 debuff.

To verify the buff's activation, remove all equipment and check your resistances in the endgame. A -40% elemental resistance total indicates that you have successfully activated the Sisters of Garukhan shrines.
