Nintendo Direct In April
Nintendo has confirmed the release of several first-party titles scheduled for 2025 in their latest financial report. The year kicks off with Donkey Kong Country Returns HD on January 16th, followed by Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20th. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are set to launch this year, though specific dates are yet to be announced.
While no other projects have been disclosed, fans can look forward to the Nintendo Direct airing on April 2nd, 2025. The exact broadcast time will be announced later via Nintendo's official website and social media channels. Although the event will primarily focus on the Nintendo Switch 2, there's anticipation for more Switch 2-exclusive titles to be revealed or teased.
Nintendo Switch 2 Experience Ahead Of Launch
The much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 is also slated for release later in 2025. According to the financial report, the console's launch is expected in the second half of the year. To build excitement, Nintendo will host live in-person Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events in 15 global locations, including New York, Tokyo, and Amsterdam, starting in April. Most locations' registrations have closed, but fans can join a waitlist for a chance to win tickets. For the Japan leg of the event tour, ticket applications are open until February 20th JST.

Super Nintendo World Expands To Orlando, Florida
As part of their strategy to further expand Nintendo IPs, a new Super Nintendo World theme park is set to open in the United States at Universal Orlando Resort’s Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, Florida, on May 22nd, 2025. This will mark the second Super Nintendo World in the country, following its debut at Universal Studios Hollywood in California in February 2023. The Orlando park will showcase the vibrant landscapes of Super Mario Land and the tropical setting of Donkey Kong Country upon its opening.
Additionally, Nintendo plans to open Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Singapore in 2025, though further details are yet to be announced.
