How to Fish in NieR: Automata
Fishing is remarkably simple. Simply stand in any body of water (even shallow water!), remain completely still, and a fishing prompt will appear above your character. Press and hold the designated button to initiate the fishing mini-game:
- PlayStation: O
- Xbox: B
- PC: Enter
Once your Pod is cast, wait for it to be fully submerged with a distinctive "plop" sound. Quickly press the same button again to reel in your catch. React too slowly, and the fish will escape. You can cast repeatedly with no limitations. A helpful plug-in chip can even add a fishing icon to your HUD when near fishable waters.
