The much-anticipated rural farm life simulation game, Morikomori Life, has officially launched on Android and iOS platforms, exclusively in Japan. This time, Realfun Studio is at the helm of publishing, following its initial release in China by Level Infinite under Tencent Games, which was subsequently discontinued about a year ago.
The Rural Farm Life Sim Is Back
One of the standout features of Morikomori Life is its stunning visuals. The developers have masterfully captured the essence of a cozy, serene life through anime-inspired, specifically Ghibli-style art. These scenes are not just reminiscent of Studio Ghibli's animated films but appear as if they were directly extracted from one.
In the game, you take on the role of Kaon, a young Japanese girl who receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother, prompting her to return to the village of Komori, where she spent her childhood. Here, you embark on a journey to rediscover the joys of a peaceful, rural existence. The 3D toon shading of Komori beautifully renders the Japanese countryside, making it feel warm and authentic.
Don't just take my word for it; experience the charm of Morikomori Life for yourself by watching the gameplay trailers below:
