- Minion Rush is gearing up for its most significant update to date
- The update transitions the popular runner game to Unity, introducing new features
- Endless runner mode is now officially live, complete with new boosters and customization options for players
If any Gameloft release has surpassed its expected lifespan, it's Minion Rush. Before Despicable Me premiered in theaters, few likely anticipated that a French animated film from a relatively unknown studio would captivate global audiences. Yet it did, and now Gameloft is preparing to launch what it calls the 'biggest update ever' for Minion Rush.
This update clearly signals Gameloft's commitment to keeping Minion Rush relevant for years to come. Why? Because the game is being migrated to the Unity engine, bringing a comprehensive visual makeover to the aging runner title.
Beyond the graphical enhancements, players will benefit from a streamlined user interface and key new functionalities, including an official endless runner mode. Despite the long wait, this feature is now accessible directly from the main menu.
BananaWhile some might say this overhaul was overdue in modernizing Minion Rush for contemporary devices and players, its arrival is sure to please fans. Alongside the previously mentioned improvements, you can now personalize your player profile with custom nicknames, avatars, and frames.
Another addition is the Hall of Jam, which offers enhanced progression rewards such as G-Coins, Minion stickers for upgrading or unlocking costumes, story puzzle pieces, gadgets, and more. New power-ups like the Disco-boot, Bouncer, Rocket Blade, and Minion Armor are also available to discover.
