Medarot Survivor offers Vampire Survivors-esque action but with cool mechs, coming soon to iOS and Android

Author : Finn Update:Jan 23,2025

  • Insect and animal-themed bots galore
  • Choose from different units and playstyles
  • Now open for pre-registration

There's a reason why Vampire Survivors is as huge as it is - the compelling loop of "being the bullet hell" has popularised the so-called "bullet heaven" mechanic, and it seems like Medarot Survivor is looking to join the bandwagon but with an anime-style mecha twist.

Medarot Survivor offers plenty of frantic fun that'll have you fending off waves and waves of enemies coming at you from all directions - the cool thing about it all is that you'll be unleashing devastating damage onto unwitting foes as awesome-looking bots.

There's a wide variety of mechas to choose from, each one with its own set of abilities that suit different playstyles. They're all pretty much animal or insect-themed - there's even a nifty-looking cheetah-esque one that sort of levitates off the ground with its multiple limbs, and one that somehow reminds me of Rockman's Cut Man.

If that sounds like the kind of chaotic mayhem you'd love to dive into, we've got a list of the best Vampire Survivors-esque experiences you can give a go on mobile to tide you over!

In the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Medarot Survivor on the App Store and on Google Play. It's free-to-play with in-app purchases, and pre-registration is currently ongoing.

There's a Japanese livestream that just went out earlier today, by the way, and the launch is scheduled for February 28th, 2025 according to the App Store. Whether or not we'll get a global release remains to be seen, however.
