Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – New Heroes, Maps, and Game Mode Unveiled!

NetEase Games recently dropped exciting details about Marvel Rivals' Season 1, including a new battle pass, maps, and a fresh game mode. The three-month season, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, will introduce Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and The Invisible Woman (Strategist) as playable characters. Expect The Thing and Human Torch to join the roster six to seven weeks into the season. The Baxter Building will also feature prominently in a new map.

The Season 1 battle pass offers 10 new skins and costs 990 Lattice, with a reward of 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion. A thrilling new game mode, "Doom Match," will debut, featuring intense 8-12 player battles across maps like the Empire of the Eternal Night: Sanctum Sanctorum. The top 50% of players emerge victorious.

Three new maps are coming:

• Empire of the Eternal Night: Sanctum Sanctorum (for Doom Match)
• Empire of the Eternal Night: Midtown (for convoy missions)
• Empire of the Eternal Night: Central Park (arriving in six to seven weeks)

NetEase Games highlighted the importance of player feedback, acknowledging concerns about character balance (like Hawkeye's ranged advantage) and promising adjustments in the first half of Season 1. The developers also mentioned that while rumors of a PvE mode circulate, they did not address them in this update. The excitement surrounding Season 1: Eternal Night Falls is palpable, and players eagerly anticipate the new content.
