Marvel Rivals Competitive Rank Reset: A Comprehensive Guide
Marvel Rivals, the free-to-play Marvel-themed PvP hero shooter, features a competitive mode with a seasonal rank system. This guide details the competitive rank reset mechanics.
Competitive Rank Reset Mechanics
At the end of each season, your competitive rank is demoted by seven tiers. For example, ending a season at Diamond I will reset your rank to Gold II in the next season. Players at Bronze III, the lowest rank, remain there after the reset.
Rank Reset Timing
The rank reset occurs at the conclusion of each season. Season 1, beginning January 10th (at the time of writing), is expected to follow this pattern.
All Competitive Ranks
Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. Progression through ranks is based on accumulating points; every 100 points earned advances you to the next tier. The ranks are:
- Bronze (III-I)
- Silver (III-I)
- Gold (III-I)
- Platinum (III-I)
- Diamond (III-I)
- Grandmaster (III-I)
- Eternity
- One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)
Even after reaching Grandmaster I, players can continue earning points to achieve Eternity and One Above All. One Above All requires a top 500 leaderboard placement.
Season Duration
While Season 0 was shorter, subsequent seasons are anticipated to last approximately three months. New seasons introduce new heroes (like the Fantastic Four) and maps, providing ample time for rank progression.
