Today's reveal also highlights some unique features of the set, including Summons, which are part of Magic's innovative Saga creatures that players can summon for assistance during battle, as demonstrated by Summon: Shiva in the gallery. Additionally, the set brings back the beloved double-faced cards, exemplified by Cecil's dual nature as a Dark Knight and a Redeemed Paladin.
The Final Fantasy set will boast over 100 legendary creature cards, with 55 of them being borderless and illustrated by fan-favorite artists from the rich history of Final Fantasy.
Set for release on June 13, the Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy set will be fully draftable and Standard-legal. It will launch alongside four preconstructed Commander decks, each inspired by a different Final Fantasy game: 6, 7, 10, and 14. These decks will feature 100 cards each, blending new Final Fantasy cards with existing cards reimagined with new Final Fantasy art, ensuring a thrilling and immersive experience for players.
